Beginner Sewing Workshop - Hansie Top - Sunday May 31 - 5 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us to sew the Hansie Top by Seamwork Patterns; an easy and versatile short-sleeve shirt pattern.

Depending on your fabric selection, it can be dressed up or kept casual. You'll also have the opportunity to change the neckline, sleeve length, or hem length. A true wardrobe staple you’ll want to sew again and again.

What’s Included:

• Printed pattern and instructions (this is a free pattern from Seamwork that you can download)
• Use of sewing machines and required equipment (or bring your own machine)

What You Need to Bring:

• Fabric and thread
• Fabric purchased from Border City Fabrics receives a 10% class discount
• Fabric must be pre-washed and dried before class

Recommended Fabrics:

• Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, chambray, batiste, lawn, voile, linen blends, rayon challis, cupro, and Tencel.

What You’ll Practice:

• Darts
• Neck facing
• Interfacing
• Understitching
• Optional patch pocket
• Pattern changes
