Our 100% Rayon fabrics are perfect for garment making, offering a soft, drapey hand that moves beautifully with the body. Rayon is ideal for dresses, blouses, flowing lightweight pants, and skirts. It provides a comfortable, breathable fabric that comes in many vibrant colours. Its fluid drape and smooth texture make it a favorite for both everyday wear and special‑occasion garments.

Rayon is a semi‑synthetic fiber made from natural cellulose, usually derived from wood pulp, that is processed to create a soft, smooth, and breathable fabric. 

Some tips for sewing with Rayon

·        If you plan to wash your fabric, pre-wash it before cutting since it can shrink or shift.

·        Cut in a single layer and use pattern weights or a rotary cutter to keep the slippery fabric from moving.

·        Use a fine sharp needle (size 70/10 or Microtex) and sew slowly to avoid puckering.

·        Stabilize tricky areas with spray starch or interfacing and use plenty of pins or clips.

·        Finish seams well (serge, zigzag, or French seams) and let garments hang before hemming since rayon can drop.
